Malaysian born and bred and proud of it. Hilariously enough, as I read back on my posts, most are quite retrospective and sometimes to the point of melancholy. Funny, because I've never been happier. No regrets. You choose the paths you take, the roads you tread and like Mr. Frost said, that made all the difference. Cause as I like to remind myself, in the end, it's all for me.

It’s been quite sometime since my last entry. Things have been well, yet hectic. Angah’s wedding is due this 7th and 14th of March. So much to do, so little time. I cannot let Mama do everything on her own. Plus, all my siblings are scattered all over the world, hehe. Therefore, for the past two months, my weekends have been spent wisely with Mama. We browsed through every bridal boutiques in KL and Selangor and thank god, now that we are only two weeks away from the BIG day, almost 85% is done. Phew!

And now that I’ve mentioned all the heavy surveying and shopping sessions I have done with Mama, it would not hurt to announce that my feet have started swelling. Serious tak sexy okkkk. During the first few weeks lagi horror, my feet were unrecognizable. Now that I walk lesser [ye ke? haha], they have gone back to their normal sizes. But I still cannot fit into my usual size 6. I am more like 7 nowadays. Okay la tu. I had to go with size 8 when they first got swollen. Insane okkkkkkkk…

By the way, I am now in my third trimester already, woohOo! Am in the 29th week to be exact. So many changes yet I am enjoying every bit of my pregnancy. Well, frankly speaking, not every bit though, haha. I would apprecaite if I get to excuse myself from experiencing the leg cramps, heartburn, sakit pinggang and swollen feet but hey, that’s just part and parcel of being a mummy-to-be, huh? Nevertheless, my growing tummy mends and eases my heart all the time. It’s hard to mourn about all the painful bits I have to endure when my baby moves, kicks and squirms actively like a Superninja inside my tummy! And guess what, I even got to see my baby hiccupping inside me, hehe. It’s the most beautiful experience ever!
I am also very lucky that my parents as well as my husband have been very supportive and caring. My husband massaged me almost every night, right before I go to sleep without me asking him to do so. And nowadays, everytime we got back from work, he’ll spend some time talking to our baby. Makes me smile all the time!
Despite the fact that many around me has been filling me with excruciating and frightening labour stories, I cannot help but to feel very excited. I cannot wait to meet my little one. Tang sakit tu lantak pi la, redah jelah kan. Afterall, am sure the pain is gonna be worth it!

Okie dokie, need to go now. Si kechik dah menendang-nendang. Lapar la tu, hehe. Will update more as and when!

Hugs!

Things are well; pregnancy, career and personal-wise that is. The only thingy that kept me down was that I had fever for the last three days. Therefore, it kinda restricted me in several ways, forbiding me to go out and have fun with hubby, Mama and friends, hehe. Nak have fun je tau! ;P

Akan tatapi,

walaupun tak sihat, I managed to make hubby take me out for dinner at ‘Bubba Gump Shrimp’ during the weekend. And saya juga sempat tarik Peej pegi makan nasi daun pisang at Nirwaan Maju in Bangsar. Their fried peria is to-die-for. Of course, I know the word ‘peria’ does not sound convinving but seriously, u gotta check them out! Sedapppp..

A couple of days before Mama and Papa fly off for their Haj trip. Despite the fact that they promise me that they will call me every single day, I still don’t feel good knowing that they won’t be around for the next 46 days. Lama okkkkkk.. The last time they went for their umrah trip a couple of years ago pun baru 14 hari je. Ini 46 days! Aaaaaaaaaa……

Anyway rest assured, once they are back, the whole family is going to Medan to buy kain and whatnot for Angah’s wedding next March! And yes, when I said ‘wthe whole family’, I was including hubby and me as well! Yeehah.. I musti carik kain yang elok-elok and extra glam just because by the time Angah naik atas pelamin, I am gonna be 32-week preggie. I am sure I am gonna be SO huge. Therefore, untuk mengaburkan the fact that I adalah mak buyung yang sarat and membulat, I need to make myself a delicious new outfit!
Other than that, I am now entering my fourteenth week. Yes darlings, I am now in my second trimester, ho~yeahhhh!

How does it feel to be in the second trimester?

Things have been well. No more torturous hours of morning sickness, laziness and whatnot. Now, everytime I wash my hair mesti nak blow elok-elok. And finally, I got my eyebrows done at Bangsar last evening with Peej. No more bad hair days you allssssssssssssss…. Thank god!

That’s it for now, I guess.

Will update more, as and when.

Heyya all. How are ya’ feeling? I am doing great. Deepavali is on Monday. I have always loved public holidays, hehe. No plans whatsoever yet [except for kenduri at my parents' place tomorrow] but I am gonna make sure that I’ll spend the days with my hubby, besties and parents.

Not much since the last time I blogged. Baby is now 12 weeks old. Just had the scanning session two days ago and how I nearly cried with joy when I saw my Lil’ Sugar Bun-Bun wriggling and moving about so actively! Even the obgyn had a hard time to measure my baby’s length as Lil’s Sugar Bun-Bun just did not know to to stay quiet! The obgyn then went;

“Macam mana I nak ukur ni, baby you tak reti duduk diam!”

Hehehehe. I then had to pat my tummy softly and said;

“Baby, jangan gerak sangat. Macamane Mummy nak ukur baby ni?”

And miraculously, Lil’ Sugar Bun-Bun stayed still for a couple of second, long enough for the obgyn to make the measurement! Hehehe.

So now, baby is 5 centimeters long is expected to double up in size within this one month. The long hours of morning sickness is finally over, thank god! I am just enjoying every bit of my pregnancy while abusing my hubby to get and fulfill all of my crazy cravings, kakaka..

On the otherhand, Papa and Mama is going for their Haj trip on 07th of November and will only be back on the fourth week of December. Gila lama. Just thinking about it makes me feel so depressed. Dah la these few days I macam clingy gila dengan Mama. Almost everyday I try to stop by at Melawati. 5 minutes pun takpe, janji dapat tengok muka Mama. Ni kalau diaorang takde, confirm I meroyan, huaaaaaaaaaaaa…

And by the time they come back from their Haj trip, baby will be almost 5 months old! Tsk tsk.

Takpelah. Hopefully they will have a good Haj trip. I will try to think positive and call them every single day, hehehe. Boleh ke?

Okie dokie. Time’s up. I miss my Farm Frenzy 2, hehe.

Ciao!

Hubby and me managed to do quite some travelling during the whole one week.

KL – Kuantan — Temerloh — KL — Ipoh — KL

I had fun despite the fact that we had to endure a three and a half hour journey from Ipoh to KL on last Saturday. Mentally and physically exhausting!

Anyhoo, baby is now 10 weeks old, ho yeahhh! Tummy is getting bigger. Even the doctor claimed that I am one of the women whose tummy grows quicker than the usual normal cases. I don’t know whether I should be happy or not, haha. Nevertheless, both hubby and me are so excited!

Oohh, have things to do now. Have a good day!

Baby is gonna turn 7 weeks tomorrow. And as morning sickness has gone worse for the last few days, I just cannot wait to reach the second trimester! Which is like 9 weeks aways. Hmmpphh.

From what my ob-gyn have told me, as well as some entries I read on the internet, morning sickness gets better once you’ve entered the fourth month of your pregnancy. And they even mentioned that the second trimester would be the fun-nest as you don’t only get your much awaited baby bump, you will also go glowy and cheerful and it is also said to be the best period to travel! How nice!

Ooh, did I tell you, I have not cooked since last week, hehe. Every evening, as I reach my place, I would be so exhausted and sleepy to stay in the kitchen. However, fortunately, hubby has been a pretty good sport about it. In fact, he has been a wonderful cook for both of us. Sahur pun kadang-kadang dia masak okkk. I’m blessed, I know! Hehe. But I made a mental note to start cooking again once all this nausea thingy is gone. Tak sampai hati tengok hubby berhempas-pulas dalam dapur, hehe.

Currently, I have started getting busy hopping from one page to another searching for cute maternity dresses, top and jeans, haha. Topshop has an incredible range for mummies-to-be and the prices are pretty affordable. But Marks & Spencer and Dorothy Perkins are optional as well as they come in big U.K. sizes. However, I hope I don’t go that big. Sigh.

As for all the baby stuffs, things cannot go more beautiful than them. I have had a delicious wonderful googling at the strollers, prams, jumpsuits, reversible blankets, bottles, mittens and god-knows-what. Everything seems so brand-new to me and I have so much to learn! Am super-duper excited. And even if I would only start shopping for the baby during the second trimester, I have started doing some researches on all these baby’s stuffs so that it would be easier for me to purchase what’s best for my baby! Yeehahhh!

I know. Things have been lame and boring eversince I got preggie. As if I don’t have any other bits to blog upon, right?

I don’t bloody care. You just have to bear with me! Hehe.

Ciao!

Oh dear.

I’ve been experiencing nausea incredibly for the last few days. It will trigger off from 9am to 5pm. During the first few days, I was pretty gedik. Nak gak puasa. But by the time berbuka, orang tengah makan, I was busy throwing up in the toilet. Therefore, after I did a checkup with the doctor last Wednesday, the doctor suggested that I do not fast until the 24th. Because by then, the baby would be 8 weeks old. Right now, as it is still in the first trimester, the baby is busy developing and growing. Therefore, it is a very crucial period and I need to be extra careful.

But

macam gilo la kan. Tak ke mampos nak mengganti puasa later on? However, it’s not like I have much choice kann.. *sob Sob*

The best part of being preggie is that everyone has been giving me extra attensions and pamperings! My mum insists that she cooks for me, my mother-in-law made my hubby swear that he would not take me for granted and hubby darling voluntarily prepares everything during sahur. I bangun untuk makan saja! Haha. But then, kalau mood I baik, I will do the dishes la, hahaha. Keji, keji.

My next checkup would be right after Hari Raya, 08th October 2008. This time I would start doing it at Damai because that is where I plan to deliver my baby. I want to start seeing the doctor immediately so that I can get to know her better and get myself comfortable.

Hmm..

Can you imagine, InsyaAllah, in May I would be having my first child? Is not that just insane? Haha. As predicted by doctor, due date is on 7th of May.

Ooohh, I am blessed!

Hehe..

After much persuadings and assumpations from you fellow darling bloggers, I have decided to reveal the bit I’ve been keeping to myself for the last one week.

I am preggie!

Hehehehe.

I know it seems so surreal. Afterall, hubby and me just got married last month. Pendek kata, penat kenduri kahwin and honeymoon pun tak abis lagi, haha. But again, ini rezeki dari tuhan. And I am very happy about it! Serious, the feeling is beyond words!

In the first place, I did not get my period as expected. Which is very very strange because my menstrual cycle adalah sangat sangat regular. I was four days late but I played cool. Konon takmo la excited sangat. But masa ni, I dah sibuk stalked Rinie and asked her about all the symptoms, hehehe.

Then the nausea came along with the bloated tummy. I kentut like every five minutes okkkk. Perut pun rasa keras semacam. Tang loya-loya tu takyah citer la kan. Kejap-kejap I lari pegi toilet and went *uwek uwek*. Padahal takde benda pun yang kuar, hehe.

So in the end, I bought the Dip n Tell Pregnancy Test Stick at Guardian. I bought the 2 in 1. Senang kalau apa-apa I can reconfirm terus.Tapi I did not do it straightaway because there’s a tiny bit of me yang takut I frust pulak kalau benda tu negative.

Anyway, last Tuesday when I woke up for sahur, the nausea thingy got even worse. Hubby then persuaded me to take the test. I was sceptical but hubby kept reminding me that I had nothing to lose. I mean, you cannot lose things you never have, right? So, dengan gigihnya pukul 4am aku buat pregnancy test tu, haha.

As I waited for the lines to appear on the stick, jantung rasa macam nak pecah. I don’t know why. I think it was because a huge part of me already knew that I am preggie but I just need to reconfirm it. And when two pink lines appeared strikingly on the test stick, I sauntered to hubby who was watching the television.

Hubby lagi la blur gila.

“2 lines? Apa maksud dia?”

I shoved the box of the pregnancy test stick into his hands so that he could read the instructions and the meaning of the lines.

“2 lines ni maksud dia pregnant ke aby?”

I just stared and nodded my head at him.

He then went quiet for a complete one minute.

Then tiba-tiba he hugged me so tight sampai I rasa macam nak pecah jantung I, hehehe. He hugged and kissed my forehead and we both just grinned at each other like complete fools.

To make it short, we went for our first medical check-up on Thursday and a second one on last Saturday. Baby is doing fine. Doctor gave me acid folic and some pills for the nausea thingy. But as it is still early, me need to be extra careful because baby is still developing. Takleh buat keja sangat, takleh angkat benda berat, takleh lasak sangat.

Ohh do you know that your pregnancy is counted from the first day of your last period? I baru tau okkkkkkkkkk.. Itupun doctor yang explain. And later on, I even googled on the internet and now I understand even more la.

For example, my last period was on the 30th of July until 4th August 2008. Therefore, as doctors cannot determine the actual date the baby was conceived, they simply assume that the whole pregnancy period takes up a complete 40 weeks and the pregnancy period started from the 30th of July. Which is absurd sebab kita preggie pun 9 bulan 10 hari je = around 38 weeks. However, I was told that the remaining 2 weeks are left for fertilization and implantation.

And therefore, if the doctor refers to the first day of my last period, my baby is now 5 weeks and 6 days old!!!

Even if my body is now very weak from all the vomitting and whatnot, I am very excited because every pain brings me much closer to my first child. And I am blessed for my hubby has been very supportive as well as my parents yang dah sibuk nak carik barang baby. Gilo okkkk.. Hehehehe…

Doakan semuanya akan okay, will you?

Hugs!

Oh Dear!

Friendster’s blog has evolved into something fancier and funkier youuu. I think it’s gonna take me a loooooong time to get myself comfortable with this new place. Dah kata buta IT. That is why I always stick to my blogspot account regardless what! Haha.

So, how’s your Ramadan so far? As this is my first Ramadan with a hubby, things have been pretty good. Most of the days, I masak. Lauk sempoi la. Ayam goreng cili la, masak lemak cili api la, sambal tumis la. Thank god hubby is not that choosy when it comes to food. Kalau malas sangat pun, I tapau lauk from my parents’ place, hehe. Ajib and me try to spend not more than RM15 per day at the Bazaar Ramadan. But so far, macam hampeh je. Haha.

I have not been well for the last few days. Badan rasa macam nak demam tapi tak demam. Two days ago masa pegi terawikh with hubby, I almost jatuh tumbang okkk. Tak larat sangat. Therefore, semalam tak pegi terawikh and just slept at home! Heaven I tell you.

Okie dokie. Gotta go now. Sth came up.

Sheeeeeesshhhhh..

Why la, my eyes are like all glued up and they just refuse to remain open? Literally, this morning I had to restain myself from dozing off whilst driving from home to Damansara by reminding myself again and again and again and again;

"Tak takut accident ke makcik?"

;P

Aahh well, the Ramadhan is here again. I have always loved Ramadhan. It was the month where I first met my hubby four years ago and it was then when we decided to go for a double date with Peej and Ben at Dome, KLCC. It was a hilarious date, one I will never ever forget for the rest of my life. Sigh. The good old days!

To celebrate the first day of Ramadhan yesterday, hubby and me decided to stay at home and cook. It was fun. Surprisingly, he was very helpful in the kitchen from the start to the end! I prepared;

sambal tumis sotong

lemak nangka

telur masin

sambal belacan

ulam-ulaman

And later on in the evening, hubby bought some rendang limpa for himself. I had this huge craving for ayam percik but the queue was so long, we decided to come back another day. Takpe. There’s another 29 days left.

We then did our terawih prayers at Amaniah. By the time we finished the 23 rakaat, it was already 10.55pm. Kaki siap ketar-ketar okkkk. Which was embarassing because I was seated next to a pair of cute 8-year old twins. Diaorang selamba sardin je semayang. Takde complain takde apa. Aku dulu umur 8 tahun langsung tak tau makna semayang terawih, huahuahua!

Later on lepak-lepak at ‘Sup Ani Utara’ in Danau Kota. There were like 10 of us. Makan-makan, borak-borak sambil tengok citer hantu ‘Roommates’. That movie was so farking disturbing. Menyesal tengok. Kesudahannya sampai ke pagi aku terbayang yang bukan-bukan. My pathetic attempt to remind myself with,

"Bulan puasa mana ada hantu",

was unsuccessful!

And by the time we reached home again, it was already 2.30am. I thought hubby would not want to sahur as he had eaten earlier. Tak okkkkk.. Nak jugak sahur. He even demanded for rice. So, by 4.00am I had to wake up again to prepare the meals and by the time we finished eating at 5am, my head was all ting-tong and felt funny. Nasib baik dah kawin, kalau tak confirm aku dah merempan and meroyan, hahaha. Which is absurd okkk. Kang tak pasal-pasal jadik isteri yang derhaka, hehe.

Today on the otherhand would be interesting because we are going to my parents’ house in Melawati, hoOray!!! Therefore takyah la I nak masak. Ohh, amat sokahati. And I am thinking of going to McD je for sahur. Hopefully hubby will agree. Alaaa, selang sehari tak masak is acceptable la kan? ;P

Okie dokie. Have to continue with my work now. Thank god, working hours during Ramadhan is from 8am to 4pm only. Cannot wait to go home and just chill!!!

Later!

Peeps, I am back! And I am not just here being the same old me, I have added a new title under my funky belt - WIFE! Hehe. I know. It sounds almost surreal but trust me, it is true. Never know that I would tie the knot this early. I have always planned to get married when I am 28. Well, I guess God has another plan for me.

I was on leave from 06th of August until last Wednesday, 20th of August 2008. As I told you before, the ‘akad nikah’ was held on 08.08.08 at 10.30am. It was a very private ceremony and simple and sweet. I was well surrounded by my very beloved friends and family members.

The whole waiting process was very intimidating, hehe. I was cracking up under pressure and my heart was beating ferociously that I felt like throwing up every other minute. When the rombongan from Ajib’s side finally arrived at 10.15am, I swear I was just an inch away from puking. Haha. It was a total madness.

As I went bonkers and started hugging all my girlfriends for extra supports, I catched a glimpse of Ajib at the window. He was standing right outside of my house and talking to his parents. My heart then thumped even harder.

The tok kadi arrived around 10.45am. Thank god, he was a simple man. He did not harass Ajib with tormenting questions and the ‘akad nikah’ was done in the simplest way I had ever seen. Within 10 minutes, I was already a wife to Ajib!

To me, the ‘akad nikah’ was a very significant occassion because of all the mixed emotions I had to go through. I was excited tahap gaban, nervous like hell, scared, very happy, relieved, sebak, terharu. You name it la. Semua aku rasa, haha. It was something I will remember and cherished for the rest of my life.

My Mama cried and so did my Atok. My sister Ati nagged me when she saw tears welling in my eyes. She was too busy looking after my make-up. Saiko punya orang, hehe.

As for my reception, I was too bloody happy to think much about it. I just wanted everything to be settled and the moment we were let to go home and continued our outdoor photography session, I was relieved! It was physically and mentally exhausting I am telling you.

My holiday was perfect, well-spent with my husband, family members, relatives and good old friends. We did go to Redang as planned and my, the island was so beautiful. Hubby and me went snorkelling from morning to the evening and it was no surprise when we came back to KL with different skin complexions, haha. Aaah well. Who cares. Besides, Clarins whitening set can do wonders! ;P

Anyway, hubby and me is now staying at our new place. It is not furnished completely yet but that’s okay. All these furnishing works will keep me busy for another 6 months - 1 year. And of course, living at a new place with a hubby is something very new. There’s so much to learn about. Even if Ajib and me have been dating for four years before we tied the knot, I realised that I started to see the real him rightafter we got married.

There’s a tiny bit of me which believes that this is the start of a new journey which I believe will flashes me new experiences and challenges. I am completely sure it’s no easy-peasy. I mean, I am so used to do things my way. Imagine having to reserve half of me to fit another half of him. Ohh well, it’s gonna be wicked!

Come what may. I’m readier than ever!
